This past weekend, Kim and I ventured into our storage shed prepared to ‘clean it out.’ It is amazing the stuff you keep. As we were going through the stuff we laughed at ourselves for keeping some of the treasures. I was reminded that Kim said we should have trashed some of the stuff before we ever moved to Alabama. Instead, we’ve stored it for 3 plus years.
Then we came to some notebooks from conferences that we had attended. The comment was made, ‘Yeah that really helped us didn’t it.” We laughed for a moment.
When is a failure a failure? Is something a failure when it didn’t turn out like you thought it would, should, or could turn out? Is it a failure when it has no impact? Is it a success if it has some impact? When you invest your life into a venture is that success regardless of the outcome? We are or I am so conditioned to a score, to winners and losers. Is the truth somewhere in between? Always…
